The Grand Sud Cyclisme women's cycling team

From local to international

Building without
betraying its DNA

Founded in 2022 within Vélo Club Métropolitain Urbanbike, Team Grand Sud Cyclisme Féminin is a women's cycling club based between Montpellier and Nîmes, in Occitanie. It was built around one strong conviction: to build a competitive team without ever losing its identity.

In just a few seasons, the Team rose from Division Nationale 2 to Division Nationale 1 Élite, driven by one same ambition: to spot, develop and bring through women's cycling talent, in a caring, structured and demanding environment.

Our roadmap 2026 — 2030

From development
to the ProTeam

The Team was built on a conviction: women's cycling needs structures able to spot, develop and bring through talent. For a long time, developing riders meant preparing them to move on elsewhere. The ambition now is to take a further step — to capitalise on its own talents within the project, to build its own professional team.

  1. 1

    Spot

Young riders with potential in the region, from the U17 and U19 categories.

  2. 2

    Develop

Athletically, personally and mentally: training, physical preparation, nutrition, medical monitoring and immersion with the elite riders.

  3. 3

    Integrate

The best riders into an in-house professional pathway, in the Team's colours.

The goal is clear: to build a strong, international and committed team, on a path towards the UCI Women's ProTeam category — with the 2030 Tour de France Femmes firmly in sight.
