Midi Libre devotes a fine article to our project. After a formative first season in DN1 Élite, Team Grand Sud Cyclisme Féminin Nîmes-Montpellier shifts up a gear and sets its sights on the 2030 Tour de France Femmes.
To aim for the front of the race, the club has bet on an international recruitment of experienced riders. As our manager Bruno Bonniol puts it, the team “looked abroad” — and the signings followed.
Among the 2027 arrivals named: Akari Kobayashi, Japanese road champion in 2025 and 2026; Canadians Skye Pellerin and Émilie Tessier; New Zealander Sophie Maxwell; Camille Laurent and Rozenn Prigent, from duathlon; Lola Pelardy; and Elodie Malois, who has already raced at the World Championships on the track and on the road.
The article also details what comes next: a collaboration with the professional team Mayenne Monbana My Pie (a pre-season camp in Spain is being considered), a reinforced staff with a high-performance supervisor, the continued partnership with Winspace cycles, and the organisation of a race — the Boucles gardoises, in March, if the budget comes together.
A big ambition, a project built patiently. Thanks to Midi Libre and François Rivier for the spotlight.
